YR and RA2 work great on x64 Vista! No trouble at all as long as you run as administrator Smile

windows XP on the laptops at work does most of that, if you are logged in as a user and try to burn a CD, windows asks for an administrator password.

IPX was abolished with Vista afaik.
You'll have to try tools like Hamachi (although IIRC, that doesn't work on Vista either...).

A friend of me managed to install IPX on Vista but RedAlert 2 Multiplayer still didn't work.

Exactly...

Seems foolish for EA games to have no Vista fixes, but then again it IS EA...
Oh well, thats one reason I have a Vista and an XP HDD...other reason is Vista is plain crap.

EDIT: Hmm...I haven't been on this site for almost a year...

Does it? They must have fixed the problems with wine then. Last time I tried it in linux the sound stuttered and it was a pain to install it so things wouldn't blow up without a no-cd crack.

There's a tutorial how to fix this on the wine database I think.
