well, thats good to hear. i hope you get back to doing stuff soon, although i do know that having to re-do all that work sometimes makes you just want to quit....
but that still doesn't explain what was going on here!
i guess i'll just have to stick to crazy liqued nitrogen that kills units immune to freezing, and doesn't harm things immune to radiation.

thanks Marshall?
Sorry if this is annoying, but where have you released it? It's taken me a few days, but I've finally finished reading all of the pages, quite a few ones there. One thing that I'm curious about, you know how you've now got it to have specific palettes for each animation, is this also available for other things as well? In specific, infantry, vehicles, and buildings.
Oh, and great work, Rock Patch is what inspired us to finally move our mod from TS to YR

@Dehtro:
Wow, you read it all?
Not even I did read everything is this thread
anyways, my website's http://rtb.strategy-x.com/.
Glad to hear the patch helps you out
@Bobing:
Yea yeah... I've read that all, don't worry.
But I don't know what's up with the rad either.
so I can't help there atm

Ah, sorry PD, the thing is, I've already got V1.07 from that link, but you were recently talking about 1.07b, and on the download page it's still 1.07. Is it just that you haven't updated the site yet? (No biggie, I haven't done that on my site for quite some time, only today have I finally updated it with all of the downloads. If you're after some graphics, have a visit and browse the downloads section, might find something you like).
It's also that others will probably jump to the same conclusion about the site not specifically saying 1.07b. I know I'm being a bit pedantic, but it's just to be sure. Yeah, I read it all. It did take a while, but I managed in between work. By the default board setting, it's 61 pages right now, 1204 posts

I am looking at the RTB frontpage right now, and the most recent newspost links to a download for 1.07b : http://rtb.strategy-x.com/dl/rp107b.rar

It's the fault of the way I made the site...
it simply sucks.
On the top right of the page, there's a "Refresh pages" link which refreshes the pages.
Try that one.

the lighting you've used for the rad seems off too, i specified exactly the same colours as the normal radiation, except rotated to cyan/turquise, and this is what i got. maybe its because i use 100% blue and 50% green that its brighter? just looks a big white to me. although, i do like the current effect, looks very ice-like.
the crazy thing is, why is there a second RAD field???
it apears seemingly random... its not because it generates particles using the same warhead is it(it's been a while since i looked, but isn't RAD on the weapon?)? surely it'd add more than just 1 extra field if it did, and if it is because of the particle system of the railgun, why does it sometimes apear behind the troop? nowhere near where the weapon is fired?
Can I distribute the RP Installer with my mod, as my testers said this would be preferrable?
Thanks
Stephen

Ok, thanks. Refreshed and now I can see it.
Curious, do you want the Australian Loading screens I've created?

Thanks
Stephen my thoughts on distribution of the RP is:
if its in a ZIP, make sure the file contains the version number of the RP in the RP's filename.
if its in an installer, make sure the RP is an optional componant, and also make sure that if its got an "Enabled by default" setting, that it doesn't enable if a newer version is there.... only problem with this is that marshal has changed the ini settings twice now, so my old checkers will try to install it over newer versions...

I believe we may have a bug with the code for the train bridges that was added by jonwil, the bridges themselves work, but don't seem to associate with repair huts so you can't C4 them or repair them. Recent testing of the latest TX which includes train bridges has revealed this possible problem.

I swear I tested repairing and it worked just fine.
No idea about C4 though.
I dont have either the time or the setup (i.e. the IDA pro database) to do any more RP/ra2/yr work at this point, sorry

You're right, repair does work. I've just built a test map myself from scratch to confirm it, but still no joy from C4.

I just finished a small Goldeneye (N64) hacking project and in a few days, the mod tools for SW Battlefront II will be released.
so maybe after I modded swbf2 for a while I'll get back into YR.
BTW, I'm proud to say that my first YR hack is already over one year ago (jan 15th).
Also, we had RockPatch's birthday yesterday... and I missed it
argh... however, I'll update my homepage soon and write a few things there.
i'm kinda curious to work on the patch again actually.
but don't spam me with requests or proposals for 1.08
1.08 is planned completely... at least a really damn lot is planned.
oh and I'll just note down that rad problem as well as the C4 on train bridges.
maybe jonwil just overlooked that.
since I can trance where mouse cursors change, it shouldn't be a problem to find C4 stuff. I guess.
I can't remember which stuff got lost by my HD crash anymore.
that's good. so I'm not pissed about it anymore either.
