Could somebody test my sidec03.mix with Ares?
#1
While cleaning up the server, I found a version of the sidec03.mix I did for RockPatch/YR 1.002 a while back, and I'm wondering if it works with Ares.
I guess [Side]â–ºSidebar.MixFileIndex= would be it, maybe [Side]â–ºSidebar.YuriFileNames=no.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could test it and post whatever code is needed to get it to work.
If you like it, you can use it, of course.

On an otherwise unmodded copy of rulesmd.ini, I added the two tags you mentioned above to a [ThirdSide] section, went to start a game with your mix in the directory, and boom, error.

Here's all the relevant files. I took a look at debug.log, and it seems to crash right after trying to find "sidenc03.mix".

.log   debug.20100905-112958.log (Size: 3.17 KB / Downloads: 503)
.log   debug.log (Size: 5.78 KB / Downloads: 500)
.txt   except.20100905-113735.txt (Size: 5.29 KB / Downloads: 482)

I'll upload the crash dump to a server and post a link shortly.

Forget that, I took a look at the mix itself and found the problem, it needs [Side]â–ºSidebar.YuriFileNames=yes. With that, it all works normally without issues.

So using
Code:
[ThirdSide]
Sidebar.MixFileIndex=3
Sidebar.YuriFileNames=yes
makes it work?

Wish I'd seen this sooner. I've had your Yuri sidebar working for a while now, Ren.
I'm what Willis was talkin' about.
