Try to run the game as administrator. Does it happen also?

the game runs fine form its own directory
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert™ II\RA2

but from launch base the unmodded version wont and I dont know how to set the game as administrator in launch base

Launch LB as admin. Elevated mode propagates.

LB is on as admin and I dont know what you mean by this 'Elevated mode propagates.' :Grise mine

EDIT: I just discovered that if I run gamemd.exe + syringe.exe on admin i get the same error. but if I dont run them on admin, and luanch the game DCoders alternative way, you know the address bar way, it works fine.

If you launch an application as admin every programm that gets called by that will be launched as administrator also. There will be no extra prompt saying "do you allow to run this?".

Can you check whether gamemd.exe runs in Win95 or Win98/ME compatibility mode?

Ok if I run gamemd.exe in Win95 or Win98/ME compatibility mode and click on it in its home directory, nothing happens.

If I run it on both compatibility modes and also on admin, nothing happens and also if I set same settings to syringe.exe, nothing happens too.

If I do all the above plus do it with launch base, I keep getting the same error message.

Even if gamemd.exe is off admin and also syringe.exe nothing happens.

the only way to get ares to work, is DCoders alternative way.

And if luanch Base compatibility mode is off, I just get 'failed to activate mod' and it close's

I don't know how well the game handles non-latin characters, or whether it accesses files relatively or absolutely - have you tested how the game performs without a bunch of bullshit characters in the path name, like & or â„¢?

Do you have the same issue when just trying to start YR normally?

I changed it from
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alertâ„¢ II\RA2

to

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer The First Decade\Command and Conquer Red Alert 2\RA2

problem is launch base thinks its not installed now.

The game starts normally when I click on RA2MD.exe, just the plain version.
when I click on gamemd.exe nothing happens, but I think thats the way it always was.

Did you just rename the path? That's bound to cause problems.
