Hi!
I'm new to Launch Base. My RA2 is EA Origin compiled version, and when I run mods (even unmodified ones), I encountered an error (exe modified by third party, that sort of thing...). Then the Origin window pop up, saying .par file is missing, and the game won't start. (Actually they are not missing!)

But in fact, the game was correctly installed by Origin itself, and running the .exe directly from game directory will start the game and everything works fine. However running from launch Base don't.

My Launch base version is 0.99.258 (Public Beta)

Hey Guys!
I recently installed YR Playlist Manager, to add my favorite Tracks of Red Alert 2. I created a Playlist and also activated it, but everytime I go into the game nothing has changed: Menu theme is the SAME, loading theme and score theme TOO. The tracks I've added are not even listed in the Options menu. Can someone help me, please? I'm sick and tired of the YR songs!

I have to say that I don't have any clue what the problem is and if you need further information just tell me.

I've just signed up because i'm having some trouble with launch base, it isn't letting me run yuri's revenge (from the first decade disc), it brings up an error saying the CD is not in the drive, despite the fact it is. I've tried running YR on its own, and it works, i've run it using Ares and it worked, but running it from launch base brings me said error, i would attach the log file but it doesn't seem to be letting me do so. I really hope i can get some help with this as i really want to get this mod i downloaded running too (MigEater's D-Day).

Thanks in advance,
The reason INTRO was changed was so I'd know immediately if the YPL File was working or not. Anyways, I put the song into the Themes Folder and the YPL file into the Mod Directory (i.e: Not in any of the Mod Creator's Folders). The Mod launches and it asks what Playlist I'd like to use. All so far so good. Then the game loads and...I hear "Drok" by Frank Klepacki. Not that there's anything wrong with that, other than the files haven't loaded into the game properly.

Has anyone else had this error? Has anyone else for that matter been able to fix this error, or know a way around it?

A friend of mine was bitching about LB not working so I loaded it and it prompted an update. No big deal, it downloaded but when I hit the OCX files and LaunchBase.exe, the updater claims the files aren't there for reading. The files are clearly there, but the installer fails on every attempt. I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 and LB installed fine beforehand.

I went into the setups folder and ran the new setup installer. Everything updated without an issue.

Is there something I'm missing here?

Yeah, I know I might ask for too much.

Since you're getting phased out more and more, I thought that you could share the LBMC plugin keygen for music pack creation. I could upload the YRPM packs to C&CGuild in proper LB format with it, not to mention that I plan my music pack and it'd be awesome to have that set up properly.

I know that I still haven't finished it yet, but I wouldn't abuse that keygen, I promise.

Oh, and if an upd can contain multiple entries, then I'd put everything into one. It'd be easier for both of us after, since you don't have to care about the packages while I can finish my music pack-plugin without an issue.

It sucks I can tell you.

The problem is I install TFD RA2 & YR and works fine, I try XCC mixer it crashes trying to get to the folder, I think XCC can't handle the shitty name EA gave the folder Red Alert ™ II.

but you can't Rename the folder to RA2 because FA2 says it can't find the RA2md.mix So I copied the folder and uninstalled TFD reinstalled FA2 located the RA2.MD.EXE and it all worked.

Next problem LB wont run because it can't find RA2 Installed because I have it as a folder without registry entry's as I removed tfd to make XCC work.

any solutions? any idea's what registry I can put in? or modify LB to find RA2?

Thanks

Launch Base Community Convert Project (LBCCP)

It seems the world has all but abandoned the mods and maps that were made for Red Alert 2. I find it sad that nowadays a lot of these great creations are hard to find or get hold of. So I am announcing a Launch Base Community Project to recover all these old mods and maps and convert them into a Launch Base compatible file hosted in a secure site. This way, thehy will hopefully never be lost.

I am of course doing this without express permission from the mod authors but I am including all the original file including the readme and labelling them community converts and I hope they don't mind me doing this. A lot of them aren't around to complain anymore anyway. If anyone does have a problem please let it be known.
Here is the first batch anyway. Please report any problems you notice.
