DirectX.Force= (hardware|emulation)
Surface.$surface.Memory= (System|VRAM)
Surface.$surface.Force3D= (true|false)
I see "This is for advanced users only!",though I know nothing about them,and I'd like to know what do they do?Thanks.

Use the damn search option:
Input: "DirectX.Force"
The very next result, after this retarded thread, to which I have now applied MY name, should be all the answer you need.
Additionally, you could say where these terms are from. If you have a problem or want an answer, and its persistent, IE still there after you've done all the requisite research, then when you ask the question, please be sure to include a frame of reference. There are a great many tags out there, and to just throw random tags up for analysis is a lot like vomiting on a wall. And just as useless and repugnant.
It only takes a few characters to say: "In the Launchbase "Ares" dropdown menu..."

While I don't agree with SM's tone, the idea of using search is a good one.
Just for the sake of completeness, the default values for these flags are simply "default" (manual omission?). Which means "let the game decide as it always used to".
