If you copy it to note pad and turn off word wrap you will see the two diamonds that make one tile. The first diamond is the color 13=pink 14=red. The second diamond is something called z-data. Z-data just tells the game what item is drawn in front of what.

The set of numbers in the front are hex code. It is the header and settings. Like, how big is this tile, how many cells are in this file, dose each cell has extra data and the z-data that goes with it. What are the properties, like X and Y location, X and Y location of the extra data, height of tile, terrain type, Ramp type, and is this a bridge.

try & fix the some sections that needed color changing, but I can not
change it back to a tem file and yes i tried saving it as a tem file. is
there a tut that will explain how to get it back to tem? or can someone
tell me how to change it back? i tried using the editor to change

what I did:

1) Extracted Baseball field along with other for pieces
2) Edited my piece

You will see these on the tmp file (new123)
2 pieces were not colored right
1 piece was close to but not exact what wanted

3) Using the mix editor I converted 2 a shp file
4) Using Shp editor 3.36 i edited my piece. tried all formats when i saved

when i opened it as a shp file it looked nothing like what I had created (news123). I can not convert it back to a temp file.

yes, but with an extra road off the bottom, making it a 4 way intersetion. yes i know it was messed up, lol. i was able to convert to a shp and fixed the shp i guess, then saved it & came up with that. so you used the hex editor for that?? I downloaded that program but I get an error message that stated MFC71.DLL was not found. I am going to do a google search for this.

I managed to download 3 files to get it working, but i have a color issue with the pieces. i need to be able to change these pieces color.

when i am saving this where do I save it to & what do I call it? i extracted it from 1 of 3 files, is that where i put it back? Is there any way that it can be opened in any terrain??

i opened urbanmd, added a new tileset & gave it a name and saved it

First I did not need a hex editor to do most of this stuff.
so skip the hex editor.

You do need a paint program I'm using Jasc paint shop pro. and the tmp editor

Also you will need to make some color palettes.

I loaded up your file (top left) the file extension is for the temperate but you have the new urban pallet applied to it. Also the tile size is far more then you need . If you look at the bottom right there is a file set up.

I can remove two more cells from this file to make it smaller but you wanted to add an intersection.

Lets start with what I did.

I found this file (droadj11.ubn) and I copied it in to PSP. then I mirrored it

Then I mad some changes

copied it back to the tile.

Then I opened this file

and copied the two cells over to work tile like so

next I look over the tile and I see I can cut this down a little. I can remove five cells.

to do this right I looked for a tile that had the same set of cells

droadj06.ubn has the right set up.

I copy the image from the work tile into this one and save it as a new name.

For changing the color that will be the next lesson. But I need to know if you have a paint program?

O.K. lets start with paint prog.
See if you can copy an image from tmp editor into paint prog and mirror it. If you don't no how tell me
