PoseDir= and the FlyBy= tags

Is there any known way to make the PoseDir= tag work for more than a aircrafts starting position? As of right now when you build a aircraft it appears faceing the posedir= but the first time and every time there after it lands faceing the preset direction. Another question is the FlyBy= tag negates the preset (hardcoded?) posedir= so aircrafts land in pretty much any direction.
