Kill #826. As these are both graphical in nature, alpha lighting is quite a bit more useful in terms of eye candy. There are plenty of options available like maybe alpha spotlights, alpha lights that follow a unit around for something like headlights and, if at all possible, introduce a way to colorize the alpha lighting. The possibilities for alpha lights are far, FAR, FAR more useful than a colorized Iron Curtain or Force Shield...
Kill #1007. There is a timer display on the bottom right for a reason, and this is that reason! #979 would at least allow for some interesting weapon combinations like a Jarmen Kell sniper shot or better, and different, mutation weapons. I support #979 based on the fact it improves weapon capability.
