We're looking for some more people interested in testing Ares before the masses. Interested?

Requirements:
  • Knows the way around the INIs
  • Has time to spend
  • Willing to subject him/her -self to IEs and endless retestings, including frequent INI code changes
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Not likely to insist on recreating everything exactly as npatch does it

Still interested? Get yourself an account on the forums, follow this link to the tester list and apply there. We'll review your request and accept or deny it.

I'd like to help out but I w2ill have to see how much school work I will be getting this year. let you know after a few weeks. and Guest Ares Pretty much will invalidate Npatch.

Use of Ares with NPatch is not supported and may result in more IEs than NPatch usually causes.

I'll do it.

I never used NPatch so I can't bitch about what's different.

I'm fairly comfortable with INI's, there's not a lot that stumps me, apart from the engine being completely stupid (see previous help posts by me), and I've got 2 computers, so I can install YR on the other one too to test on.

It comes from WAY back when I used to play Lazer Quest.

I'm a big sheffield United fan, and go to all the home games, and as I played Lazer Quest on Saturday, and home games are on Saturday, I wore my Sheffield United shirt to Lazer Quest.

At the time we were sponsored by a budget games producer called "Midas Games" so people at Lazer Quest called me "Mr Midas".

Also there is a kids story about a greedy king named Midas, everything he touched turned to gold.
