It uses C&C: YR engine but very different RE: New Game - Blade - 13.06.2006 He's hacking the exe in otherwords, looks like he's linked to the unused mission selection list that is leftover from TS but is disabled. Ideally that feature should be hacked into the rock patch rather than making a completely seperate patch with alternative features IMO. Better to pool resources with PD than make a second patch, that way you will get more features in a shorter time scale or at worst, get the features you want in the time scale you code them in plus a whole lot of other stuff extra on top. Since this post is also potentially broadcasted on my website (if I got my lazy ass up to fix it), I'm asking to fix your post for truth elements - if it's a hack of YR, it's a Total Conversion at best, not a game. And if it was a game, I'd be forced to remove the post as a whole, 'cause that'd clearly be copyright infrigement. With all that said, no matter what your project is, you should become clear about the general outlines and features first before asking for help. For example, you say there'll be 15 missions for each side; for all we know, that could be a "Don't get Tanya killed" mission times 15, with the "campaign" being a Die Hard like scenario where she went for a walk and has to fight her way back to the base. Last Battle has in game menus as in TS RE: New Game - Blade - 14.06.2006 Things like that would make interesting additions to YR, but as we say, really you need to work with PD and submit patches to his patch. He's already done a lot of work on features you might want to use, so there is no point you duplicating his work and it would benefit everyone with additional features you want to implement that perhaps PD isn't interested in working on. There is no point in modders having to choose between two patches with different feature sets. Edit: IF you are working on adding to the way missions can go, useful features would be making Global variables saved into a save game file so they are not lost if you save the game. Currently globals will carry over from mission to mission, but will not get saved, so loading a saved game resets the global value. RE: New Game - Renegade - 14.06.2006 But is not new game either.
