Weird but nice - Whiteboy - 11.08.2005 Now this is just strange. The Statue of Liberty in RA2 seems to be in a YR palette - that is, the libxxx palettes only. Remaps do not work with these palettes (at least not the red colours I tried) so I decided to convert the SHP into a normal old palette - only to find that to my great amazement there was no colour loss. ALMOST. It seems that the only loss is the green hue on the statue itself... take a look at the Statue of Liberty, now with remaps, in all it's pre-eroded glory! It has to be BMP BTW, because the colour difference is so subtle that it would not be obvious at all in JPEG. Weird but nice - DCoder - 11.08.2005 And they wasted the single allowed extra palette for THAT? Weird but nice - YuriRuler90 - 11.08.2005 Nice scrub, but that sounds like Westwood for you. Weird but nice - Whiteboy - 12.08.2005 Well, great thing is, this actually ties in well with the mod. The Allies can build a Statue of Liberty as one of their best base defences, but how can it possibly be green-ish if they just built it, eh? Heck, I should have even changed it's name to the more accurate "Statue of Liberty Replica" but that just seems like a dumb idea. Weird but nice - Dark-Assasin - 12.08.2005 How About Dark-Assasins Liberty Statue Weird but nice - YuriRuler90 - 13.08.2005 How about Teh Yurinator! Weird but nice - Whiteboy - 13.08.2005 Riiiiight... no offence but those names - they're crap |
