Supporting both CD & noCD versions - XTF - 13.01.2012 I'd like to support both noCD and normal CD versions with a single executable (for RA2). Does anyone know how this can be achieved? Normal noCD patches cause the exe to fail when some files are on the CD. RE: Supporting both CD & noCD versions - Guest - 13.01.2012 If you're talking about the noCD command on Ares, the files must be copied over. Of course, we don't support pirating so I wouldn't be able to say about noCD patches and the like. RE: Supporting both CD & noCD versions - Graion Dilach - 13.01.2012 Try out TFD's executables, they were no-CD IIRC, but I dunno if they would also search stuff on the disc. RE: Supporting both CD & noCD versions - XTF - 01.02.2012 They don't RE: Supporting both CD & noCD versions - AlexB - 01.02.2012 For YR, you'd have to copy multimd.mix and maps03md.mix into the game folder. In RA2, I guess, you'd have to copy the respective equivalents. If you want to decide whether to apply the no-CD feature at runtime, you'd have to check for the files being present. RE: Supporting both CD & noCD versions - Nighthawk - 02.02.2012 As well as theme(md).mix if you're wanting the original music to work. |
