Making a patch file - Nikademis Von Hisson - 27.10.2008

What kind of program do you need to make a Patch file??

Depends on what you're patching, and the intended audience. If you're modifying a text file and target audience is me, your best bet is to use gnu diff. If you're modifying a binary file such as .mix, you should look into something like Clickteam Patch Maker.

well, i am looking for something along the lines of the npatch or rockpatch for a mod campaign and the general public, if my target audience is you then i damn well make sure its good, lol.

How can I open another patch to see what it contains so I can learn? I don't want to copy and paste stuff because that is lame and unfair to the original creator and I am looking to create a new patch, I don't want things some one else has created. I just need to learn what is in there
