I remember there being a post somewhere before that listed all the changes to make to the rulesmd.ini file and artmd.ini file and ra2md.ini file that would help make the game run a little faster. Can anyone recall the exact post?
Try commenting out the tranclucency / transparency tags from artmd.ini animation entries...

yeah I know about the translucency stuff but I could of sworn there was other stuff.
There are plenty of things that can cause lag, and regrettably a large portion of them is not controllable through the INI. Translucency, overlapping light posts, debris, pathfinding...
