[20.02.2007 02:20:51] *** channel created at Sun Feb 11 02:19:55 2007
[20.02.2007 02:21:04] <Renegade> good evening
[20.02.2007 02:21:27] <Snake> hello
[20.02.2007 02:21:57] <Renegade> I updated to 1.2.3 earlier, and I had to notice that, in group permissions, "no" still seems to overrule "yes"
[20.02.2007 02:22:50] <Renegade> ...is that going to be fixed some day or should I tell my coder to manually fix it until the end of time?
[20.02.2007 02:25:21] <Coolest_Tech> h i
[20.02.2007 02:25:31] <Renegade> hi
[20.02.2007 02:31:56] <Tikitiki> Renegade all the permissions problems have been fixed for 1.4
[20.02.2007 02:32:23] <Renegade> well, then I'm missing about 0.1.7 versions
[20.02.2007 02:32:56] <Tikitiki> funny.
[20.02.2007 02:33:21] <DennisTT> hahaha
[20.02.2007 02:33:33] <DennisTT> That's the best joke I've heard today :)
[20.02.2007 02:34:01] <Tikitiki> i sense sarcasm
[20.02.2007 02:34:20] <Renegade> I sense manual hacks...again
[20.02.2007 02:34:41] <Renegade> I am pretty sure DCoder reported that two versions ago
[20.02.2007 02:34:43] <Tikitiki> i sense patience
[20.02.2007 02:34:55] <Renegade> and I am pretty sure he fixed it manually in about 5 mins
[20.02.2007 02:35:05] <Tikitiki> If you would like I can ban you so you can stop annoying us?
[20.02.2007 02:36:02] <Renegade> hey, I'm not the one claiming "MyBB can beat up YourBB" after ignoring a bugreport for two versions but fixing 80+ other things, when the fix most likely is just something like replacing an && with an ||
[20.02.2007 02:36:19] *** Tikitiki sets channel #mybb mode +b *!*@MsgPlus-611269DC.ipt.aol.com
[20.02.2007 02:36:25] <Renegade> lol, great support
[20.02.2007 02:36:26] *** you were kicked from #mybb by Tikitiki (or so you think)
[20.02.2007 02:36:37] Cannot join channel (+b)

...do I have to comment that? Lift eyebrow

Man, there is a nice example of stupid in action. I think that some people in charge are too blinded by their power to realize what's going on.

Not talking about you, Renegade. Tongue

Funny thing is, after wading through all the posts in their forum about permissions again, I actually managed to understand their permission system..."yes" does override "no" - if permissions for every single group are set on a forum. iow, not even Administrators, who are allowed to do everything everywhere, may have inherited permissions - they must explicitly be given all permissions again. Only then, their system can correctly determine which rights a group has -_-

But that I managed to get it work in the end doesn't change the fact their support sucks ass Tongue
(And that the system is still partly fucked up. Which they acknowledge by having it fixed in some ominous future version.)
