[MenuColors] Section
#1
Hello. I tried adding the MenuColors section in the rulesmd.ini file, but apparantly i cannot add new colours to the dropdown list.
They don't show up properly when using them in skirmish mode.
The dropdown menu shows examples of the wrong colours.

I'm using the RockPatch 1.08 SE #35 by the way.

Quote:[MenuColors]
1=221,226,13 ;Gold
2=255,25,25 ;Red
3=42,116,226 ;Blue
4=62,209,46 ;Green
5=255,160,25 ;Orange
6=50,215,230 ;Aqua
7=149,40,189 ;Purple
8=255,154,235 ;Pink
9=000,000,000 ;Black
10=104,58,13 ;Brown
11=106,120,122 ;Grey
12=190,215,218 ;Light Grey
13=160,000,000 ;Dark Red
14=110,236,85 ;Lime

...what I inserted.

"1.08 SE" was released by C&CVK so he would be the best person to ask. Although the RockPatch is no longer supported and I cannot find any documentation for it.
Ever wondered what the hell is going on?
Believe me friend you're not the only one.

Yeah, I guess. But I figured many others had been fuddling with this.

As of documentation, there is this page, from where I found the method.

EDIT: Now I have changed the RGB values for the new colors manually, and then found out that the problem is that the game simply doesn't show the correct colours upon starting the game. My attempt to play a soviet country with a dark-red color became light blue instead. The same with the other sides.
Is there some place I should input the RGB values in order for the game to register them correctly? I shudder to think...

Er, [MenuColors] does just that, changes the menu colors. Ingame colors are controlled by the entries in [Colors].

Now that got me cleared up. Thanks for that.
But most of the listed colors in the [Colors] section doesn't seem to relate much to the in-game colors.. Most of them are blue or light blue..? :/
(I typed the RPG values in photoshop to see what colours they were in reality)

They're not RGB, they're HSV. Back in RP1 days there were several discussions about this, and someone (bobing?) wrote a tool to convert rgb <-> hsv, use the search function.
