How to play RA2 online
#1
How can I play RA2 online?

I downloaded XWISC.exe, placed in RA2 directory, executed and pressed Set button.
But RA2 says "the westwood shared online stuff is too old, please reinstall them".

And everything runs under wine.

Random suggestion: Install more current Westwood shared online stuff.
If you did install the latest version as of YR 1.001, maybe they updated it with The Fucking DVD.

Or try the XWIS Support Forum.

Yes, I got RA and YR patched.

The Fucking DVD's installer does not work in wine because of SafeDisc.

And I can't find the shared westwood stuff with google.

I have been having the exact same problem for as long as I can remember, each time I try to play YR online; which seems to be for the last couple of months; and I have been too lazy to get my lazy ass to find answers, so i hope you get them for me. =P

Obviously the noob admin does not know what is Ubuntu or Wine and he locked the topic: http://strike-team.net/forums/index.php?...pic=155175

I also tried some other forums but they seem to be dead.

no, he locked it because you've got a nocd crack.

PM the mod, and explain you NEED the nocd to run in WINE, and ask for the topic to be re-opened.

Blah, he does not know what is Ubuntu or Wine because he told me to use Windows software. Sent him a PM anyway.

No, don't expect any further help if you've just used no cd crack. You can't run the installer because of safe disk? lol.
