well, XBox has been out the longest, and PS3 is the most expensive, so, the numbers kinda make sence

RE: Console wars: the Next Generation - hopalongtom - 13.01.2007

Ooh, the numbers went up since I last checked!

RE: Console wars: the Next Generation - Whiteboy - 14.01.2007

Shame the totals for nexgenwars are said to be very inaccurate. It does however have one thing right - the Wii is selling like hotcakes Tongue

I'm so certain the Wii will win this generation worldwide... it's guaranteed to triumph ion Japan (where the 360 sells like poo) and so far the Western world has shown so much interest in it that I doubt the 360 will be able to compete in sheer sales by the end of this year. You also have to consider Nintendo's DS - a total money machine, and, the fact that Nintendo actually profits from everything they sell - the other companies take a hit.

Bill isn't expecting profit from "Project X-box" until much much later!! Approx 2020?

I believe the success to the 360 is mostly due to the fact that they copied the tactic that Sony used last time!

RE: Console wars: the Next Generation - Whiteboy - 15.01.2007

And what is that? Clearly, it didn't work in Japan when MS tried it Tongue

MS can afford to throw money around like crazy. It's not fair really. There should be "fair play" laws in effect.
